GEAR

Guitarfish Studiostores are retailers of another caliber. Our staff is well versed in all aspects of the brands we carry and trained to provide a comfortable shopping environment for students and families. Gone is the attitude-laden music store employee, our staff are personable and friendly and willing to answer even the most basic question about any of our gear or our lessons. The goal of the Guitarfish Studiostore is to provide a comfortable place to learn about music, even if that is how to tune a guitar or choose a set of strings. Our gear selection includes iconic brands such as Fender, Martin, Taylor, Breedlove, and more!

LESSONS

Beside private instruction, our Studiostore locations offer group classes at convenient times for most people. A typical class may offer advice on maintaining an instrument or setting up sound for a performance. At Guitarfish we’re about education on all fronts, not just learning how to play. The more knowledge our students have, the less uncertainty they will have in any aspect of music performance.

The core of the Guitarfish Studiostore is individual lessons. Each location has private studios where our certified music instructors give guitar lessons, piano lessons, as well as individual instruction in drums, vocals, and bass guitar. With a selection between 30 and 60-minute lessons once a week, Guitarfish instructors are prepared for any age or experience. From the child to the child at heart, come in and be rewarded with a rich musical learning experience that will last a lifetime.

Guitarfish lessons are designed around a methodology to keep a consistent learning experience from instructor to instructor. Designed to have you playing your favorite songs and styles quickly, our music lessons focus on four primary categories; Theory, Technique, Playlist, and Performance.

Of course, no music lesson would be complete without fundamentals. Learning how chords, scales, notation, and musical tools work and fit together is key to any instrument.

Technique is important playing any musical instrument and learning how to position oneself for the instrument of your choice is essential in both learning and comfort. One thing Guitarfish lessons include that not all lessons do, is Playlist. Theory and Technique are important but music is enjoyment as well as practice and our instructors know this. The Playlist portion of our methodology is making sure that learning is fun by teaching favorite songs and tailoring the lessons to a person’s style of choice.

The last step in the learning process is of course, Performance. Gaining experience in front of a live audience through solo or group performances also gives the student the immediate satisfaction of positive feedback.

The Guitarfish Studiostore is prepared to meet students with state-of-the-art teaching facilities. Blending technology with instruction, we are able to provide competitive and comprehensive education to any age or skill level. With sound-isolated studios specific to the instrument taught at Guitarfish Music, each lesson is truly private, giving the instructor uninterrupted focus to efficiently maintain a steady learning pace and comfortable environment for each student.

This adult instruction class concentrates on learning the many styles of blues and solo improvisation. Instrumentation includes guitar, bass, keyboards, drums, and vocals!

This introductory group is for beginning adults that want to learn basic music skills using chords, scales, theory, and improvisation. Guitar and bass students practice commercial music styles as they learn to play their instrument.
